CUSD80 Teacher Asks Students About Covid Vax Status

A masked Hamilton High School teacher allegedly handed out worksheets asking students about their Covid vaccination status. There appears to be fear of retaliation for objecting.

A Hamilton High School teacher, Tricia Mitchell, teaches a class on contagious pathogens. As part of this class she appears to have handed out a test/question sheet which asks students about their Covid vaccination status. The sheet asks a number of general questions about pathogens and the diseases they can cause. In the end it queries students, using 'creative grammar':

  • Do you feel that each of us is responsible to our community to do what we can to mitigate the spread of these kinds of communicable diseases? Explain.

  • Do you or have you gotten vaccinated against Covid? Why or why not?

Masked with a political statement printed on it

Sources who wished to remain unnamed stated that students had told the teacher that she shouldn't ask about vaccination status. They report that one or more students were failed, possibly as a result, in the class by the teacher. Sources report that Mitchell, the teacher, wears a mask in class. Apparently the following words are printed on her mask:

  • Bring back the mask
