A small boy was involved in an incident in the lazy river of the Hamilton Pool in Chandler. The boy appeared to be OK. The pool was closed for the day.
On July 9, 2024 at around 5.30pm a small boy, estimated to be around 5 years old, was involved in an incident in the lazy river of the Hamilton Pool of the City of Chandler near Arizona Avenue and Ocotillo Road. Life guards pulled the boy out of the water and placed him on the deck. He could later be seen hugging a woman possibly his mother.
He was transported via ambulance which was driving at a moderate pace, without flashing lights.
In total it seemed that 2 fire engines, 1 ambulance and about 4 police cruisers had responded to the incident.
Pool staff shortly after announced that the pool would be closed for the rest of the day. The pool normally closes at 7pm. Patrons were seen leaving the pool after the announcement came at around 5.30pm.
