Homeless people, encampments, abandoned shopping carts and other signs of problems are more and more visible in Chandler.
This article presents pictures of homeless people, public begging and other signs of homelessness and related problems in Chandler. Numbers appears to show that homelessness is increasing rapidly in Chandler. Mayoral candidate Ruth Jones blames city policies for this rise.
Homelessness is on the rise in other Arizona communities as well, although numbers in Chandler appear more dramatic than elsewhere.
Some of the homeless we talked to prefer to be referred to as travelers. Some appeared polite, others not so much.
